Designer Shoe Warehouse Inc.

When consumers are evaluating a retail company they analyze many different things, however I believe that a very large portion of the evaluation comes down to just two things. Do they have whatever it is I am looking for, and is the price lower than the competition? These two factors are a large part of what can drive consumers in to or away from your business.
Designer Shoe Warehouse, better known as DSW Inc. is an example of satisfying these two key components. If you have never heard of them let me tell you. The company specializes in all types of shoes from sneakers to dress up, and they sell them at very competitive prices. Listed are a few examples.
Women’s Shoes
$59.95
Compare at $65.00
$99.95
Compare at $450.00

Men’s Shoes
$64.95
Compare at $80.00
$79.95
Compare at $130.00

As you can see they offer quite the bargain. If you have patience you can find even better bargains in their clearance section. I found a pair of Nike's I wear on a regular basis for 70% off in clearance. I understand that some would say DSW is just another discount shoe retailer, however I beg to differ. They offer really nice shoes and a complete mix. If you have never been into a store I urge you to give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

Rick Case Honda of Davie

I want to talk this week about a great experience I had with Rick Case Honda, and an employee named Frank Parlante. I normally have a very hard time with car dealerships and the salesman that go with it. Frank Parlante at Rick Case Honda is the first to change this for me. I met Frank while my fiancĂ© and I were returning our leases, and looking for 2 new cars. Frank really went out of his way for us.
We have been dealing with Rick Case for about 3 years now throughout our lease term. The whole way they have offered us amazing grade A service, and Frank was no exception. I wish I could tell you all the things he did to make our experience great, but there are just too many. I will list a couple; He showed us any and all vehicles we wanted to see with not a bit of rush, he clearly explained pros and cons of all our options, he always greeted us with a humble smile and a handshake to make us feel welcome, and at the end he preset all the cars settings to the best of his ability. I have got to say in a world of dealerships and salesman who just want the sale and the commission Rick Case and Frank really changed the game.
To conclude I want to recommend anyone that is considering a Honda to consider Rick Case Honda, and ask for Frank Parlante.  His information is below.
Short Note: I want to add that I do live in Naples, FL and I went to look at cars at Germain Honda of Naples.  I had a far different experience than at Rick Case. They took a very long time to approach and help me, and gave me a quote that actually felt like an insult. I will not return there, and will instead go to Rick Case

Comcast

For my first post I want to talk about my experiences with Comcast. I want to say that this is only my own personal experience and therefore must be taken for what it is.

When moving to a new apartment I was confronted with the decision to choose T.V. and Internet providers. Since Comcast had a big name and could combine both the services I choose Comcast. They had reasonable charges and offered in my mind a great value.

I found out later however that this was not true. They offered a service called On Demand in which they said I would be able to watch my favorite shows at any time. I work more than 40 hours a week , and when I get home to watch T.V. I expect it to be there. This was not the case. I would have to say I had a realistic 20% success rate getting On Demand to work, and being able to watch T.V. This leads me to my next complaint. Whenever I called to ask for help I had to weed my way through a confusing phone system. Then I was lead to a representative who would just tell me to unplug and re plug. I asked for reimbursement for the inconvenience and was told no "On Demand is a privilege service we offer". I dealt over and over with this
I finally decided to end service when moving to Naples, and was told I could return my equipment to any local Comcast dealer. I later found out this was a flat out LIE. I could not return it anywhere and now that I was in Naples I would have to drive to Ft. Lauderdale to return it. If not I would face a 250.00 Fee for no returned equipment. To say the least I WILL NEVER USE COMCAST AGIN!

Introduction Blog

My name is Louis Edward Grubb, but I go by my middle name Ed .I am finishing two degrees, a bachelors in both Marketing and Management. I currently live in Naples Florida with my fiancĂ©e Caroline. We are planning to get married in July. I work for Naples Equity Advisors, which is a company that my father and I started.

I came up with the idea for this blog while dealing with a well-known company. Their customer service and company representatives were so horrible I just wanted to tell someone else. I realized that I could let others know about very good and poor companies as I run into them. The end result hopefully being someone can gain from my experiences. Hope there is something you can take away from here. Thanks for visiting!
